Redesigned Claims Management Platform at IHX

A web platform for seamless interaction between the Hospitals and Payers across all the stages of an insurance claim.

Ihx is a B2B SaaS platform that bridges 14,000+ hospitals with over 35 insurers, facilitating seamless processing of cashless claims. Leveraging its vast data repository, IHX incorporates AI and rule engines to generate valuable insights for stakeholders.

At IHX, we saw an opportunity to innovate our existing TPA Dashboard and introduce new features within it.&nbsp;

The main challenge was to simplify complex information, usage of filters and making it more intuitive which were discouraging users to perform their day to day task well. Also, to identify which new feature incorporation could be helpful for the user's to save their time within the platform.

I visited several Insurer's office and hospitals to gather some insights on:

The complex workflows of the multiple user types and their interactions with one another needed to be laid out in detail. In order to achieve that, I gathered as much as I could from the end users to understand the challenges they face and how they see the dashboard making a difference in optimizing pain areas.

After conducting user interviews and analyzing the gathered data, I was able to categorize the insights into these 4 categories

To restructure the dashboard interface to optimize user navigation, streamline information accessibility, and enhance overall usability.

After implementing the new dashboard, there was a notable enhancement in the efficiency of TPA desk users.The intuitive homepage&nbsp;resulted in a 20% boost in usage, as users found it simpler to accomplish their tasks.

Hospitals previously had to manually send documents to insurers via third-party courier services and track them through their portal, consuming valuable time. They sought a solution to seamlessly access and view courier details directly within the platform.

This feature removed the necessity for hospitals to manually dispatch documents to insurers through third-party courier services and monitor them separately on their portals.

To develop a system offering hospitals instant access to their daily, weekly, and monthly claim volumes, eliminating the need for manual email searches to access this information.

The implementation of the "Performance Card" led to a significant 10-12% increase in claim submissions through our platform".

I validated my design by testing 7 users with my working prototype. The 7 users were asked to walk through how they would book parking and search for parking spot in the app. All of the users were able to complete the tasks without any pain-points.Through guerilla usability tests, I found that users were having trouble with editing their booking after they've made the booking. My designs improves the editing option in bookings section on the homepage. Enhancing the user experience for this process means lowering user friction, which in turn will drive more users to use this application in the future.

Two key points were focused&nbsp;:

I asked my users to complete the entire booking process to know how much time it would take an average to make them a successful booking.

Time taken&nbsp;: The average time to make a booking was 1 min 3 sec

When there is efficient parking management, parking issues will be totally avoided or swiftly attended to. To avoid constant parking struggles, it is crucial to invest in trusted and efficient parking management quickly. It also saves time and gives comfort to every user. It also will help to protect environment by reducing smoke emissions from the car due to driving around trying to find a space.

Working on an individual concept project was a challenge for me. It limited me from intensive research but I did just the right amount of research to make an app which would impact the users daily lives. The problem which I chose is a part of people’s life today in one way or the other.
